#9 - Ron & Paul, Glenwood Place, North Ormewood Park
 SPONSORED BY URBAN DWELL DEVELOPMENT

In December 2006, Ron and Paul were on a casual drive by along Glenwood Place, a quiet street with mostly post-World War II homes lining both sides of the street.  By chance, the house at 481 was being renovated and Ron and Paul happened upon the home’s owner while the owner was just about to lock up and leave for the day.  And that’s how Ron and Paul fell in love with their 1940’s home.

Urban Dwell Development had taken the home and updated it with a contemporary feel, adding a designer kitchen area, vaulted ceilings and expanded bedrooms.  They also picked out great paint colors and cool lighting fixtures from the Lighting Loft.  The 3 bedroom, 2 bath house features a new master suite with a walk-in slate shower.

The new large kitchen is the focal point of the main living areas, with great flow and space for entertaining large crowds, which Ron and Paul do more often than not.  Look up, and you will understand how having a family friend who is a taxidermist can add a certain je ne sais quoi to one’s kitchen!

The back deck commands a great view of the Atlanta skyline.  Both the front and back yards have landscaping with drought-tolerant plants, including some great Agave plants, Sedums and Cacti.  Look closely in the back yard and you will find a bog, complete with carnivorous plants and native orchids.
